Hell Week

We call the week before a play or musical opens "hell week," because it's usually really crazy and hectic and people are running around doing last minute things to ensure opening night will be a success. I've dubbed finals week Hell Week for the very same reasons. My bed has been compromised by textbooks and leftovers. Instead of hiding away, I have tackled this finals week business head on! As you can see in this photo I have planned out what days I'm doing what work on. It helped so much with easing the stress and I am actually adhering to it. I'm so guilty of making a schedule and just not following it! Well, even better, I did three days of work in one day! I got to the library today at 1:00 pm and worked till 5:00 pm and completed an exam and 6 other assignments!

What helped me out a lot was I took a slow walk to the library and snapped some photos along the way which was very relaxing for me. A big work load can be stressful, and I'm glad I took some time for myself before hand, because I was very calm while working. The walk back to the apartment also helped me transition back into relax mode instead of staying in work mode. Maybe I should write a post on how to stay sane during finals week?

I wore a very comfy, 'I'm going to be sitting in a library all day' outfit today. The weather was so bright and beautiful, but I was definitely kicking myself for not bringing a jacket for the walk back to the apartment. I just wore my Aeropostale jeans (which are usually much baggier on me, I wonder if these finals nommies aren't catching up to me :3) and comfy shirt I got from TJ Maxx. I love this shirt, because it can be dressed up or down and is such a beautiful color. I also like how the color of the cardigan looks against it. I paired it all with my cute kitten heels I got from Kohls for $10 and then I hit the road Jack!

I'm pooped, but satisfied. I feel so amazing when normally I'm wanting to crawl in a hole and die during stressful times like this. It really does pay to be organized and to not procrastinate. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I love the feeling of procrastinating and the adrenaline rush you get when scrambling everything together last minute, but it's nice to actually do things ahead of time and relax.  Before I leave you, here are some of the pictures I took while on my walk to the library.

 Till next time,

Jess
