New Year, New Adventures

Hello! It's a new year! So much had happened the last year that I'm surprised was crammed into one whole year. I've met so many amazing people and have had the opportunity to go to so many beautiful places. I've gained the most beautiful friends and lost some others, gained two adorable kittens and survived two semesters of school. I'm hopeful for what awaits me in this year and I can't wait to share it with you. You know the expression "New year, new me?" Well I can't say that I'm new, I'm rather the same as I've always been, and I'm glad for it. I'd rather just say, "New year, new adventures!"

Other fabulous ladies have been making posts about the highlights of their blog the past year, but my blog is a wee baby and so I only would have 4 months to choose from. I decided instead to just make a photo heavy outfit post! My outfit isn't anything too special, but it's my first time using my tripod and remote and so I went crazy. How did I make outfit posts before this?

Also I curled my hair which I NEVER do. I found some curlers from what looked like the 80's and went to town. I left them in for at most 15 minutes and this is how they turned out. Quite lovely if I do say so myself!

My mom got me these tights last Christmas and I love the pattern so much, but I don't wear them too often. I like to keep them fresh and new for me so it's like opening a new present every time I wear them. This beautiful berry colored sweater dress is from my Nana this past Christmas. The color and crocheted sleeves are what do it for me.

I told Patrick to take a picture of my shoe and he happily obliged, haha. These are my favorite heels at the moment. They are so comfortable that I never go through that whole conversation in my head: "Will I be standing a lot today? They're cute, but I can't wear them if I'm going to be on my feet a lot."

Hopefully the next outfit post I do won't be inside in a room with horrible lighting, haha. I have an amazing new camera, but I haven't figured out how to shoot in a peach room with one working tungsten light bulb. I hope everyone isn't grumbling too hard about having to go back to work. School doesn't start back till the 17th for me, but I'm already starting to get anxious.

Till next time,

Jess
