I'm Back

I just had the most wonderful Fall Break back in South Carolina, and I have so many pictures and goodies to share with you! I meant to keep doing posts, but I got caught up in all the excitement and didn't bother opening my laptop once. That's right, no laptop for a week and a half. I am glad to get back to catching up on the blogs I follow and sharing bits of my life though.
A little bit off topic, but can I just add how wonderful this blogger community is? I have been on Tumblr for a while and decided to try out Blogger. I was skeptical of how it would go at first, but you gals are seriously amazing. I don't think I'll have to struggle with poor confidence with this kind of support. So thank you for making this blogging experience "tight butthole" (You have to watch Workaholics to get it).

Well this is what I wore on my way home a day early to surprise Patrick. I am a huge fan of red and I've been in love with this jacket ever since my mom got it for me on Christmas. To me red says confident and in charge. This red jacket takes mundane tasks into the extreme. Broke college kid going to pick up a lousy check? Not in this jacket. In this number I'm an intimidating woman going to collect her pay after kicking ass and taking names at her own business. I even have my own theme song.

I didn't get any pictures of the dress, because it's just a plain long sleeve, cotton dress. It makes for an awkward shape in the midsection so I usually pair it with a jacket or cardigan that pulls in at the waist.
Here's my Kitty bag from Kate Beaton's comic Hark! A Vagrant. I love it so much, and consequently, it's been through quite a lot. I even had to save it from a teething dog. I need to wash it again (What? Did you think I was going to retire it?), but until then I'll have to use my new purse Patrick helped pick out from His House, and I'll post pictures of that another time.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday, and I can't wait to share more about my break.

Till next time,

 Jess

  1. I have a vintage floral 80's tote that I use every day. It's filthy, but it's the best purse ever. :-) I love your jacket and your kitty tote.
